College Football Week 2 Preview

The 2013 college football season got started last week with record upsets and intense, in-state matchups.

How do you follow that up? With a battle between top-15 teams and two of the sport's greatest rivalries, of course.

Here’s a look at the weekend ahead.

Georgia returns home between the hedges after falling in last week's thriller at Clemson, 38-35. Their task does not get any easier, however, as the sixth-rated South Carolina Gamecocks come marching into Athens.

The Cocks prevailed in college football's first game of 2013, defeating border rival North Carolina 27-10.

While it may fall early in the season, this SEC battle will have all the intensity of a November game.

Could this be the last time we see these two historic rivals square off in Ann Arbor? The series is scheduled to end after next year's game in South Bend.

The Irish and Wolverines both enter play ranked in the top 20 after cruising to week one victories. The last time these two faced off at the Big House, NCAA Football 14 cover athlete Denard Robinson delivered arguably his greatest collegiate performance

Two of the Sunshine State's premier programs renew their rivalry for the first time since 2008, and it may be their last meeting for the foreseeable future. With the SEC potentially moving to a nine-game conference slate, the Gators and Hurricanes rivalry could be mothballed.

Florida travels to Miami's Sun Life Stadium after defeating Toledo 24-6 in their opener, while Miami used a punishing ground game to handle Florida Atlantic 34-6.

Soak this one up, college football fans. You may not see it again for a while.

Play out all of these contests and the rest of week two in NCAA Football 14, now available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
