Star Wars: The Old Republic Updates Global Release Date

When the release date for Star Wars: The Old Republic was announced a few weeks ago, Galactic Republic and Sith Empire faithful everywhere rejoiced. However, the news was bittersweet for European fans that were slated to get the game two days after its release in North America. We have some good news for our friends across the pond: BioWare is pleased to announce that Star Wars: The Old Republic now has one global release date, December 20th.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is the new groundbreaking MMORPG from BioWare that combines their expertise in role-playing games with the expansive Star Wars universe. Create your own character from a wealth of customizable options, gather companions to form a crew, group up with like-minded players to enter intense missions, and prepare to do battle for the fate of the galaxy.

Fans who pre-ordered the game can redeem their Pre-Order Code at the Code Redemption Center before launch day to gain an in-game Color Stone, which changes the color of your weapon's visual effects, and eligibility for Early Game Access. If you haven't pre-ordered the game yet, head over to Origin and secure your copy today.

No it's not. If you have to use it with origin, your EAID will be your player name. Imagine having to play as Toxictowel the Jedi Knight.

Actually, your 110% wrong. Your players name will be whatever you name him when you create the character. Origin is just there to log you in and out... And SWTOR is amazing.

Apparently the EA staff that wrote this didn't have geography at school. Since SWTOR was only launched in the US and Europe. This is hardly a "Global Release".
