With over 50 weapons in Battlefield 3, you could have a new loadout once a week for a full year. But the wealth of options doesn't end there — the amazingly deep customization features allow for firearm permutations numbering in the thousands.
The latest Battleblog entry at the Battlefield Blog goes into greater detail on how players will be able to tweak their weapons' performance to fit their playing style. Each armament has three accessory slots that cover optics, suppressors, bipods, barrels, underslung grenade launchers, underslung shotguns, foregrips, flashlights, laser sights, and more.
Additional options for the accessory slots are unlocked as you spend more time with your weapon of choice. As you get more familiar with your firearm's strengths and weaknesses, you can fine-tune it to accommodate the map, objective, or enemy you face. Head over to the Battlefield Blog where two specific weapon customizations focusing on different combat roles are detailed.
Battlefield 3 is the upcoming first-person shooter from EA DICE that combines intense infantry combat with a wide range of vehicles on sprawling maps filled with destructible environments. This latest entry in the critically acclaimed franchise will be released October 25th.
